FREE in-town flight luggage check-in Services by HK MTR Airport Express

Free In-town Check-in Services in Kowloon Station / Hong Kong Station (Airport Express Train)

To ensure your journey gets off to a great start, a free In-town Check-in service is available for many major airlines at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations.

Simply check-in^ and collect your boarding pass between 90 minutes and one full day* ahead of your scheduled flight departure time. (Passengers must use an Octopus or an Airport Express ticket to enter the In-town Check-in area. The full fare will be deducted at the In-town Check-in entry gate, with no further charge being made at the platform entry gate).

*The exact close-out time for airlines is subject to the individual airlines’ flight schedule, and you are advised to contact your airline for updated information. Please click here for the contact numbers of airlines providing an In-town Check-in service.

^ In-town Check-in service is provided for any passenger with baggage where the total size does not exceed 145cm (length) x 100cm (width) x 85cm (height) and weight not exceeding 90kg. For enquiries of individual airline restriction on baggage size, please check with your airline.

Fee: FREE (But need to use the airport express to the airport by the Airport Express, HKD 90 from Kowloon station to Airport, 22 mins)

Steps are follow:

1. Enter the gate of the Airport Express in Kowloon / Hong Kong Station by buying the airport express ticket or tap an octopus card at the gate, Charging HKD 90

2. Leave the check-in heavy luggage at the in-town check-in counter and they will deliver the luggage to the airport and to the flight you are going to attend within one day

3. Keep the hand-carry luggage with you

4. Leaving Kowloon Station and hang around HK the last few hours 🙂

5. Going to Airport by Airport Express by entering any MTR station (This ride is Free as the fare is paid before at the in-town check-in Kowloon / Hong Kong Station)
